Cheryl handles workers’ compensation and insurance defense cases at Wallace Law Group and is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Florida. Prior to joining the Wallace Law Group, she served as a Senior Attorney with the Florida Department of Education. She led at hearings all over the state of Florida, prosecuting educator misconduct cases and appearing before the Education Practices Commission. Prior to DOE, Cheryl served as Assistant General Counsel at the Florida Office of Financial Regulation where she authored an appellate brief in the Florida First District Court of Appeal in which the Court affirmed the agency’s action.
Cheryl was born and raised in Valdosta and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Summa Cum Laude honors from Valdosta State University in 2007. Cheryl gained her law degree from Florida State University in 2010, where she received an FSU Law National Notary Scholarship and contributed as the Vice President of the J.D. Activities without Stress (JAWS). While at Valdosta State, she earned the President’s Award, was a member of the Dean’s List and lectured on her published research findings entitled, Aids in Africa. Cheryl was a member of the Student Government Association, served on the Judicial Board as a student justice and Chief Justice, and competed in the American Mock Trial Association competition. Currently, she volunteers at a local high school as the mock trial attorney coach.
